The barricade motif is a symbol of street struggle and resistance from below. In this sense, the barricade talks address the social struggles and challenges of the present in direct dialogue with political and civil society actors. Measuring pressing issues such as dispossession, housing, poverty, flight and migration with and from the perspective of social movements is not least characterised by the question of the subjects of emancipative struggles, which is so central to critical theory.
