Centre for Social Critique at the Humboldt University

The Centre for Social Critique at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is funded by The New Institute. It bridges the gap between academic research and the broader public. The Centre’s work is characterized by a dual focus on the structural dynamics of crisis and social change as well as on social movements and civil society agents. The task is therefore two-fold, namely to identify crises and factors that necessitate social change as well as social actors and movements that enable it. Through this approach, we are committed to bringing about progressive and emancipatory change in our societies.
