Lukas is a research assistant at the Chair for Practical and Social Philosophy at Humboldt-University of Berlin. His areas of competence in research and teaching mainly are political and social philosophy as well as social theory. In his dissertation, he is currently working on the concept, the ontology and the ethics of cooperation. He has further research interests in Critical Theory, both in its history and its contemporary significance as a distinctive tradition in social philosophy. His work also focuses on the philosophical ideas in Marx’s thought and is generally oriented toward the question how ethical concepts that have once been central to the labour movement, like exploitation, alienation or solidarity, can be reconstructed and defended today.
